Finite Difference Simulation of Ferrite Growth and Dissolution in Stainless Steel Welds

The following two quicktime movies show the ferrite growth and dissolution at a particular temperature. This simulation was done by assuming local equilibrium at the interface and by solving diffusion flux equations with the help of finite difference methods.
